Do you have a book inside you? Or, maybe you've written it and now don't know what to do with it? I have worked on a number of books (some academic) and reports over the past few years. I get enquiries from both the academic world and the general public.
For a book, I use a template provided by the relevant publisher and follow their instructions as to layout. I ensure that both spelling and grammar are consistent throughout. Sometimes chapters have footnotes that need to be re-arranged as endnotes in each chapter (or vice versa).
As soon as all the chapters have been typeset, I return them to the author who checks everything before it is sent to the publisher. The publisher will suggest any amendments they deem necessary and these are returned to me to deal with before the final version is sent back to them for publication.
